While I may still be slumping, this little book was a whole experience! The illustrations were magical, the stories were entertaining and provided a bit of Cardan backstory, and it was fun to revisit these characters, even if just for a little bit. So I was hesitant to jump into this one, but I needed something to break my slump. I usually just eel unsatisfied with them. I almost never read novellas or short stories.
